RESEARCH
Beneficial Earth Materials in Human and Animal Health
The main focus of my work has been the creation of a database documenting Earth materials in medicine past and present and the illnesses they were used to treat. Over 100 such materials made the list. Of those, over 50 are in use today.  Many additional minerals, mineraloids, and sediments long forgotten by modern medicine may indeed have palliative and/or curative properties needing to be researched. This database provides  a foundation for such studies.

COURSES
Earth Materials in Human and Animal Health:
This is a one credit hour (15 contact hour), one weekend course offered for graduate and undergraduate students, teacher who need continued education credit as well as others interested in the subject of medical geology.

Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination.
What are now working conceptions, employed as a matter of course because they have withstood the tests of experiment and have emergedtriumphant,
were once speculative hypotheses.
