LISTSERVE
With the help of the IT folks at UNC I administrate the GEOHEALTH listserve, an International listserve for those interested in geology and health, and medical geology. To join the listserve send me an email (Ulli.Limpitlaw@unco.edu) with your name and address, requesting to be added to the Geohealth listserve.
RESEARCH
Beneficial Earth Materials in Human and Animal Health
The main focus of my work has been the creation of a database documenting Earth materials in medicine past and present and the illnesses they were used to treat. Over 100 such materials made the list. Of those, over 50 are in use today. Many additional minerals, mineraloids, and sediments long forgotten by modern medicine may indeed have palliative and/or curative properties needing to be researched. This database provides a foundation for such studies.
COURSES
